After the arrival of the 4xe plug-in hybrid versions to practically its entire range, Jeep has launched the next phase of its electrification plan with the launch of the Avenger, its first 100% electric model and the first of the four that it plans to present between now and 2025. This product offensive has the ultimate goal of being a fully electric brand, at least in the European market, by 2030.

For its debut in electric mobility, Jeep has opted for a body type 4.08 meter long SUV. With this size, the Avenger falls into the category of urban SUVs or B-SUV, where it will compete among others with the DS3 Crossback, Opel Mokka-e or Peugeot e-2008, models with which it shares the platform, the e-CMP2. , and propulsion system.

Despite sharing a skeleton with other models from the Stellantis group, Jeep has given the Avenger its own personality, imprinting the model with the off-road and adventurous DNA that characterizes the American brand. With a 60% of its components specifically Jeepthe Avenger features shorter front and rear overhangs and greater ground clearance, allowing it to offer an approach angle of 20 degrees, a departure angle of 32 degrees and, ultimately, off-road capability that places it the head of the segment in this sense.

To further enhance its offroad image, Jeep makes available to customers a accessories catalog that allows extensive customization of the vehicle with, for example, the possibility of choosing different patterns for the legendary seven-slat grille, stickers for the hood and roof or the color of the mirror covers. The customization possibilities are completed with sets of wheels between 16 and 18 inches and a color palette for the body that, taking its inspiration from nature, is made up of seven shades: Ruby red, Black volcano, Sand gray stone, Lake blue, Sun, Granite and Snow.

During the dynamic test on the roads of Malaga, we were able to verify that the Jeep Avenger is a vehicle that treats its passengers well, providing a great ride comfort thanks to the silent running and the adjustment of the suspension.

In addition, it was quite agile on the twistiest sections of the route, with a quick response and good corner entry. The steering, yes, we found it too assisted and not very informative. In the city, at least, it will be very comfortable to maneuver. In this sense, it is also worth highlighting the good turning radiuswith only 10.5 meters between curbs.

Made in Poland, the Jeep Avenger is now available in dealerships with a starting price of 36,400 euros for the electric version and 22,850 euros for the gasoline one.
