The launch of the Jeep Avenger on the European market marks the beginning of the next phase of electrification of the Jeep brand, in which four fully electric vehicles will be on the market between now and 2025.
Designed and produced as a Jeep vehicle, the Avenger packages Jeep DNA into a compact SUV with an original combination of capability, style, functionality and technology. The Avenger is entirely manufactured in Europe and has been designed to perfectly suit the needs of European customers.
The Avenger offers class-leading energy consumption of 15.4 kWh per 100 km on the WLTP cycle. This result is possible thanks to the extreme efficiency of the new propulsion system, but also to the extreme lightness of the vehicle: only 1,500 kilograms. This is due to how compact it is, but also due to its extreme weight efficiency.
To extend the range of autonomy, each specific element of the Jeep Avenger It has been developed for maximum performance and effectiveness. The starting point was the light and efficient eCMP2 electric platform. The model will also have a gasoline version in Spain, which will equip the 1.2-liter engine with 100 HP of power.
An electric with the character of a Jeep
The all-new electric motor improved range by 5%, the new battery gave us another 12% benefit, and a further 5% came from working on the aerodynamics, gear ratio and tires.
The standard heat pump also contributes, which increases autonomy up to 10% in extreme temperature conditions.
The M3 power unit adopted in the Avenger is a second-generation, high-efficiency 400-volt electric motor. It is the first power unit launched by eMotors, STELLANTIS’ 50/50 joint venture with NIDEC, and offers 115 kW corresponding to 156 HP and 260 Nm of maximum torque.
A pure expression of “concentrated freedom”, as defined by the brand itself. The Avenger offers Jeep’s signature features in a compact size that ensures peace of mind in all weather conditions.
Agile, reactive, and pleasant to drive, it offers dynamic performance thanks to its immediate torque and stands out for its silent operation. The new Avenger is the first front-wheel drive Jeep vehicle equipped as standard with Selec-Terrain and Hill Descent Control, which together with a ground clearance of 200 mm, 20 degrees of angle of attack and 32 degrees of angle From the start, they make it a vehicle with unexpected off-road capability for its segment, and guarantee maximum protection also in the city, for example when going up a steep parking ramp.
But the Avenger perfectly embodies Jeep’s ‘double soul’ and is as capable on-road as it is off-road. In fact, to obtain the best ‘road capability’, thanks to its compact size and agility, it offers a turning radius of only 10.5 meters, ideal both in the narrow streets of the historic center of a city and on winding roads. of the mountain.
In addition to all this, the Avenger offers maximum ride comfort combined with extraordinary maneuverability. For example, when adjusting the suspension system, the damping force is increased by 20%. Thus, we have reduced the vertical acceleration of the body by 20%, the roll by 12% and the pitch acceleration by 18%, so that the Avenger is always very comfortable, both in off-road use and when overcoming bumps. of ordinary roads.
Spacious and versatile interior: The interior of the Jeep Avenger follows the premise of ‘design to function’ and has plenty of space for everyday items. It has 34 liters of internal storage, the equivalent of a cabin suitcase. The 1 meter wide, square-shaped trunk is also spacious and extremely versatile. Each compartment has been designed with flexibility and modularity in mind: the central tunnel can be organized into multiple modular storage pockets using a divider that can be moved, or even removed. Thanks to original solutions such as the flexible cup holder divider and the folding magnetic lid, the entire contents of cabin luggage can be stored in these compartments.
On the Avenger, distinctive features come standard from the entry level, with a range of four trims incorporating this capability, safety and connectivity, and differentiated by their specific mission.
The Avenger version features a 10.25-inch infotainment screen that offers a ‘mobile phone-like’ experience. It includes Selec Terrain and Hill Descent Control for off-road driving in all weather conditions…although this is something that is ‘a given’ in a JEEP.
In addition, it integrates new generation safety systems such as autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition and lane keep assist.
The Longitude version embodies the cold side of capability, offering more style and more comfort with 16-inch alloy wheels and rear parking sensor.
The Altitude version offers more technology and exclusivity, with premium seats matching the dashboard and specific silver interior details, 10.25-inch digital panel and hands-free electric tailgate.
Summit version, the top of the range, with the same features: fully LED front and rear lights, multicolor ambient lighting, level 2 autonomous driving, 360-degree parking sensors and rear camera with drone-type top view.
The color palette – in which the colors correspond to elements of nature – is composed of Ruby (red), Volcano (black), Stone (sand gray), Lake (light blue), Sun, Granite and Snow. All colors – except Volcano – can be combined with a black roof.
